- October 10th @ 10am - Triangle and Planter clean up
a. Need to weed triangle and move coral bells to the triangle.
- Community Thanksgiving dinner
a. Park Board has asked us to join them in a community fund raiser – making and serving a thanksgiving dinner to the community – Tiffany will send email for input – not enough people present to make decision
b. January or February meeting try to get someone to talk about planning perennials
- Speaker for next meeting
a. Georgia is going to see if she can get an arborist to speak at the nest meeting – details to follow
- November meeting – Bow-o-rama! Get ready to make those bows for our swags!
- We think The Christams Brunch is December 5th – if so, Swag-o-Rama will be Wednesday December 2nd @ 6:00

Where: Alex Methodist Church
Time: 6:00pm - (I'm going to try to go earlier)
Why: To make Arrangements
What to bring: containers for arrangements you may want to use, knife, pruners, greens, flowers, scissors, tags for arrangements, any sort of flower arranging "Stuffs" (if you don't know what that is don't worry) and your imagination and sanity... ALSO, if you can not come to the fair Saturday morning please bring your specimen plants with tags so we can take them in for you.

Time: 8:00am
Why: To take arrangement and specimens to the Fair
What to bring: coffee, specimens, water, specimen jars, tags.
If you want you can meet us at the fair grounds if that is more convenient. you can stay for the judging if you like (A great way to learn!) it starts at 12:30 so bring some money for lunch.

a. Amy Kent is the new Village Administrator and she is a GC member. She has volunteered to water the flowers!
2. Quick updates
a. Have the new OAGC handbook - does anyone have a binder that will fit it?
b. Order 2000 participation and 25 honorable mention ribbons cost:$82.70
c. Received the ribbons for 1-3 places for the flower show

a. July 17th is the Pie in the eye 7-9pm:

Here is the low down:
Baker Acres: Donated ALL of the plants for the planters! This is a big deal! Remember last year we spent over $400 on the planters. This year the plants are even better! We even got some Coral Bells we are planning to dig out of the planters and trying to save over the winter. THANK YOU BAKERS!
Amity Farms: donated lots of hostas for the triangle, including some really fun hostas like Striptease which is a really fun hosta as well as a fun dance. FYI Amity Farms is the Hosta Farm on 37 owned by Sarah "the hosta lady" from the Garden Club.
Please Support our local businesses! They are always a big help to us!
The planters and the triangle both look amazing. I still need to call to see if we can get mulch donated. - it is offically on my To Do list for tomorrow.

I just wanted to let you know that we passed out all of the seeds today at the primary school and the kids and teachers are excited! Also, my sister Amy help pull together a website for the flower in just one day! (She is amazing!! Thank you Amy!!!!) We are still working on all of the details of the site but it is up and running. a. Licking County Council of Garden Clubs
i. We will become members – Garden club will pay the $0.50 per member dues
ii. Meeting 4/2/09 “Spring Tea” 1-4 pm Martha & Colleen are going. Cost is $10/person
b. April 11th COTC “Gardening the Great Escape IV” see attached flyer for details. Gail has gone in the past very good. $8 pre sale tickets $10 at the door
c. Park Clean up day March 28th – Naomi would like GC to do the flower beds again.
i. 9am -2 pm
ii. Bring tools! Rakes shovels saws whatever may be needed.
iii. Hot dogs and marshmallow provided!
2. Fun days
a. July 18th is the flower show
b. Going to call bakers to see what types of seeds will bloom in 60 days and easy to grow.
i. 4 classes K-3
ii. Participation ribbons. We will get 200
iii. 1,2,3 place ribbons for each class (K-3)
iv. No pre entry needed
v. Will have tags for kids the day of the show
c. Next meeting we will put together seed packets for the kids
d. Colleen calling school and getting the official OK
e. Martha is going to help with the wording on the seed packets
i. Need plating instructions
ii. Flower type
iii. Date of fundays – entry time
f. Could put seeds in colored cellophane bags and tie with pretty ribbon
